AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is investigating a suspicious death near the 12200 block of Old Stage Trail Thursday afternoon.
Police said they responded around 2:30 p.m. in reference to a welfare check. Officials were told a deceased person was located inside the residence.
Upon arrival, police found a deceased male with injuries to his body. Evidence at this time indicates a disturbance may have taken place before his death.
Police said it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the public. Officers said they have identified a person of interest and they are working to locate them.
Police reported the victim is a Hispanic male in his 30s. His death is Austin's 88th homicide of 2021.
