Keep Austin Local: The Sweet Parlor Bakery

Check out the sweets at this Round Rock bakery and support local business.

AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting the local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.

On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by The Sweet Tooth Parlor Bakery in Round Rock.

The bakery is owned by Diane Pakula, who has loved baking all her life. After being a nurse, helping her husband with his company, and spending time helping other bakeries she decided to open her own shop.

The bakery offers a large assortment of items including cakes, cookies, pies, croissants, cupcakes, kolaches and more. Customers can order custom cakes, as well. It is recommended that if you are ordering a custom cake to order at least three weeks in advance.

Patrons can also buy gift baskets for fall, Halloween, or other holiday themes. The bakery also offers cookie decorating kits to take home that include blank cookies, frosting and sprinkles.

In October, The Sweet Tooth Parlor will be offering 15% off all custom cakes, and in November, they will have an open house sampling of their upcoming pies for the November and December holidays.

Pakula said, “We are known for the quality of flavor of our products, and our customers have said that we remind them of how bakeries used to be or that we are like when their mom baked when they were young.”

She added that she wants people to know they will bend over backwards to help customers with their needs. You can find The Sweet Tooth Parlor at 808 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, Texas 78664 or online here.

They offer delivery within a 20-mile radius if a customer spends at least $25.
