AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting the local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.
On Monday, KVUE stopped by Austin Urban Retreat, a day spa located in South Austin.
The owner, Tammy Foster, started the business two years ago with about 15 years of experience as an aesthetician. Her goal was to create an upscale, non-pretentious day spa.
Austin Urban Retreat offers spa packages. The Great Escape Package includes a 60-minute facial, a 60-minute massage with aromatherapy, warm champagne, a full-body scrub and a peppermint scalp massage. The Peace Out Package includes a 60-minute massage with a hand and foot treatment and a 60-minute facial with a mint or lavender scalp massage.

The spa also offers cupping, a CBD massage, Ashiatsu, organic peels, microdermabrasion, teeth whitening, brow tinting and more. Austin Urban Retreat also sells and incorporates organic skincare products.
