A man was hit by a car in North Austin early Sunday morning.
An official with the Austin Police Department said the call came in around 6 a.m. near the intersection of Wheatley Avenue and Carver Avenue. They said the driver fled the scene.
Police have not released a description of the vehicle.
In a Tweet, @ATCEMS wrote that the man, in his 20's, was sent to the hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
