AUSTIN, Texas — An investigation is ongoing after a body was found near Lady Bird Lake.
According to the Austin Police Department (APD), a caller reported a body between the path and the river Tuesday morning.
When officers arrived, they found the body near the Lamar Boulevard Bridge following a welfare check.
Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) described the discovery as a "cardiac arrest incident type" after clearing the scene. ATCEMS also said the body was not in the lake or pulled from it.
APD said a death investigation into the body is ongoing and that anyone with information can contact them at 512-974-TIPS.
