Chris Stapleton's Austin concert postponed amid coronavirus concerns

The singer has not announced at this time when the concert will be rescheduled.

AUSTIN, Texas — Local fans will not be able to see Chris Stapleton perform on Thursday. The county singer's concert has been postponed, along with other events at the Frank Erwin Center, until further notice amid coronavirus concerns.

The concert was supposed to take place at the Frank Erwin Center on March 12.

This comes after the University of Texas announced it is extending spring break until March 30. Texas Athletics also said Wednesday that home sporting events will not have fans in attendance through March 22.

Here is a statement from UT Athletics:

"The University of Texas is postponing all events at the Frank Erwin Center for the immediate future, UT Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte announced on Thursday. No decision has been made at this point on when events will resume, but an announcement will be made once that is determined. Ticket holders will be contacted directly about any postponed events."
