AUSTIN, Texas — Rain chances will increase late Friday ahead of a storm system that is moving in from the west coast.
Scattered showers will increase Friday evening. Most of the rain will be light to moderate.
The best chance for rain in Austin will be before midnight.
Although a few rumbles of thunder will be possible, no severe weather or flash flooding is expected.
Rain chances will end for most locations by sunrise Saturday, making for a mainly dry weekend.

Rainfall amounts will be less than a half of an inch in most locations.
