Mother's Day arrives with nicer weather in Central Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — After an extremely wet pattern of weather for the past several days, the rainy weather has come to an end for now. 

Mainly dry weather and partly to mostly sunny skies are expected for one of the most coveted holidays of the year for mothers.

Daytime highs are expected to reach into the upper 70s and low 80s with light winds from the northeast.

Rain chances are expected to renew for another week beginning Sunday night through Wednesday with showers moving into the area.
