AUSTIN, Texas — Our first fall cold front of the season brought incredible weather to Central Texas to close out the workweek, and now we're looking ahead to more pleasant weather for the weekend.
The forecast looks stellar for the Longhorns game against Texas Tech on Saturday, and the early 11 a.m. kickoff means temperatures at the beginning of the game will feel amazing.
For anyone tailgating prior to the game, it will be a crisp morning with temperatures starting around 60 degrees and quickly warming into the 70s by mid-morning.
The temperature at kickoff will be around 80 degrees, then we warm into the mid- to upper 80s during the second half of the game. So it will be comfortably warm with humidity still pretty low, thanks to our cold front earlier in the week.
Expect a mostly sunny sky through the afternoon with no chance for rain.
Needed rain chances return to the forecast next week with totals upward of an inch possible over the next seven days.
