AUSTIN, Texas — Plans tonight? The weather will be mild as the southerly winds continue to pump in the gulf moisture. Temperatures will stay in the upper 60s and lower 70s with the winds gusting up to 15 mph. The good thing about the breezy winds is that they'll help prevent widespread dense fog from developing overnight; however, some patchy drizzle cannot be ruled out after midnight.

Rain chances go up Monday morning as a strong cold front blasts into Central Texas. Expect a few showers and storms Monday morning as the cold front moves through. The best chance for rain showers will be along the Interstate 35 corridor and into the Coastal Plains. The rain chances quickly end by late morning with temperatures falling from near 70 into the 50s.

A second chance for rain enters the forecast Tuesday as an upper-level disturbance approaches. This disturbance will bring a very small chance for isolated showers and create an uptick in clouds but most areas will remain dry.

A big warmup is expected by the end of the week with temperatures nearing record warmth for this time of the year. Buckle up for the roller coaster ride!
