AUSTIN, Texas — Weather Outlook

It was a hot day across the region as temperatures rose into the lower 90s for much of the area. For tonight, we will keep with warm and muggy conditions as temperatures fall to the 70s under a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky. For the morning on Monday, we will have a slight chance for rain with a good amount of cloud cover and patchy fog in the area. As we move throughout the day on Monday we will see breaks in the clouds and temperatures will rise into the upper 80s. Our highest chance for rain this week arrives Tuesday as a line of showers is expected to pass through in the late morning to early afternoon hours. The rest of the week looks drier with lows in the 70s and highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s under a partly cloudy sky. Rain totals this week are expected to remain below half of an inch for much of Central Texas.
