AUSTIN, Texas — Weather Outlook

Hot conditions are expected again for today with temperatures rising into the upper 90s across the region. Thursday could very well be the hottest day in 2019 so far for the Austin area. A heat advisory is in place for Thursday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with heat indices between 108 to 114 degrees. With such dangerous heat, make sure to get any outdoor work done earlier in the day to avoid the hotter times. Temperatures tonight will fall to the 70s under a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky. Temperatures back off slightly for the rest of the seven-day forecast with highs still in the 90s and lows in the 70s with slight chances for rain moving in for the end of the weekend and into early next week.
