JASON MIKELL - KVUE STORM TEAM METEOROLOGIST

Cloudy skies linger through the overnight into the rest of the work week into the weekend. Rain chances will steadily increase as the days go along. Combined with a cold front and what's left of named tropical wave Isaac, we will garner between 2 to 4 inches of rainfall over the next few days. Expect surface high temperatures to top out in the mid to upper 80s with overnight lows in the mid to low 70s. The strongest cold front in the past few months is expected to bring increased rain chances midweek next week that will also bring cooler temperatures that we have not experienced since early May for the final days of the month.
