Forecast: Warming up for Easter Weekend

Here are the latest updates from the KVUE Weather Team.

It was a warm and picture-perfect day across Central Texas on Thursday and we'll continue to trend even warmer heading into the holiday weekend.

Temperatures start in the 50s Friday morning but will eventually climb to 80 degrees for Friday afternoon. We expect breezy conditions to return to Central Texas with gusts around 30 mph possible for the back half of the day. Clouds will build throughout the day and continue to increase throughout the weekend.

Warm and humid conditions arrive in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday as afternoon highs peak in the lower to mid-80s. Easter Sunday should stay dry, but will be mostly cloudy with a high around 84 degrees.

By Monday afternoon of next week temperatures we'll be closing in on 90 degrees ahead of a Monday night cold front. The front will bring a chance for scattered showers and storms Monday night. There will likely be a low-end severe weather threat.

Temperatures will trend cooler for the middle of next week behind the cold front. Highs will likely be in the mid-70s by next Wednesday.
