A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for portions of Burnet, Travis, and Williamson Counties until 7am.

Bouts of heavy rain associated with a slow moving cold front is sweeping across Central Texas this morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms have caused some moderate flooding in areas associated with these rains triggering some flash flooding. Most of the heavy rain vacates the area by noon and residual cloud cover continues into the afternoon and evening. Expect daytime high temperatures to top out in the mid to lower 80s with a seasonably cool night for the first day of fall into the upper 60s and low 70s.A few lingering showers for Sunday are possible. The next big chance for heavy rain occurs mid week with a strong cold front passing through.
