AUSTIN, Texas — Saturday morning will be cloudy with a few light showers around, but we don't expect any widespread stormy weather until the late afternoon and evening on Saturday. Between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. there will be a widespread round of rain and embedded storms. We can't rule out a strong storms or two, but overall the severe weather risk looks low.
Rainfall totals are not looking quite as high as we were hoping a few days ago, but a widespread half inch to 2 inches of rainfall is still likely with isolated spots getting up to 4 inches of rainfall. Major flooding is not expected, but minor flooding can't be ruled out.
Behind the storms, a major cool down is in the forecast for Sunday. Temperatures in the morning will be in the 40s and 50s, and highs will only be in the 60s for the afternoon with a breezy north wind.
Temperatures quickly rebound next week as dry, sunny weather returns.
