AUSTIN, Texas — South Austin drivers will experience overnight closures on Interstate Highway 35 until Thursday morning.

The frontage road on northbound I-35 near Slaughter Lane will be affected as well as the northbound I-35 William Cannon entrance.

These closures kicked off on Monday starting at 8 p.m. and last until Wednesday overnight.

All lanes should be back open by 5 a.m Thursday morning.

Drivers in South Austin should plan ahead and consider taking alternate routes.

Staying on the main lanes until after William Cannon should be considered or using Bluff Springs Road as an alternate route.
