Interstate 35 in Round Rock reopened late Wednesday morning after a fiery crash shut down the northbound lanes for approximately eight hours.
Round Rock police said the crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday between FM 1431 and Westinghouse Road. Hazmat crews were called in to clean up the diesel fuel that spilled over the road after the crash and debris.
Both tractor-trailers caught fire after the crash, and county officials said one driver was taken to Seton Medical Center Williamson County. Round Rock police told KVUE both drivers are expected to be okay.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
