University of Texas baseball team will soon have indoor hitting facility

The J. Dan Brown Family Player Development Center in Austin will be an indoor baseball training facility which will be located along the first base side of Disch-Falk Field.

AUSTIN — The Texas Longhorns baseball program broke ground on a facility which is the latest addition to Disch-Falk Field.

The J. Dan Brown Family Player Development Center will be an indoor baseball training facility located along the first base side of Disch-Falk Field.

“Now the boys can get all of their work done rain or shine or in 40-degree weather,” said legendary University of Texas pitcher Roger Clemens.

The legendary Longhorn pitching great was elated when he spoke about the new addition.

“It’ll be fun for my boys that played here to come back and do a little work here. They're always going to be connected to Austin,” said Clemens. “We’ve got place here so there going to come back and work out here also.”

This is first athletics facility on the UT campus entirely funded strictly by donors.
