AUSTIN, Texas — Austin soccer fans still have to wait another year for the Austin FC MLS team to begin playing – but Austin Bold FC, the city's USL team, kicked off their 2020 season with a win!
The team hosted New Mexico United in their home opener on Saturday night.
Last season, Austin Bold FC made the playoff for the first time in the team's history. Their fans are optimistic they will continue to build on that success this season.
"They have potential. Their goalie is amazing," Georgiana Colunga said. "They can go all the way this year."
"[I'm] very excited, happy to be here. They did very good last season. Hopefully, they have a good season this year too," Alan Orderis said.

The team's next game is away, against LA Galaxy II on March 13. Their next home game is March 21 against Reno 1868 FC. Tickets are currently on sale.
