Sand volleyball courts in and around softball fields, why not?
For the second year in a row, Austin's center of softball, Krieg Fields, will host the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) Austin Open Friday through Sunday.
In 2017, pro beach volleyball made its return to Austin for the first time since 2005.
There were improvements made from last year's event, according to tournament director Jeff Conover. Conover said the event has free admission for all days of the event.
Due to limited parking, event goers are encouraged to use ride sharing services or bike to the event.
