Austin Bold FC announces schedule for inaugural USL Championship season

The inaugural USL Championship season of the Austin Bold FC kicks off on March 9 against the Las Vegas Lights FC.

Austin Bold FC on Wednesday officially announced the 34-match schedule of its debut United Soccer League Championship season.

The inaugural season will open on the road in Las Vegas on March 9 against the Las Vegas Lights FC. The home portion will begin with the very first match at Austin's Bold Stadium at Circuit of the Americas on March 30 at 7:30 p.m. against San Antonio FC.

Austin Bold's season will include two games against each Western Conference opponent, both home and away. The game against San Antonio will mark the first of 17 USL Championship regular-season home matches. They will also face fellow Texas clubs the El Paso Locomotive FC on April 21 and Rio Grande Valley FC on Sept. 1.

Other matches worth noting include a battle against the defending Western Conference champion Phoenix Rising FC on April 17, they'll face first-year club New Mexico United on May 25, and the final home match of the regular season will be against Las Vegas on Sept. 22.
