The U.S. Postal Service is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the first steps on the moon by releasing two new forever stamps.

One features Neil Armstrong's iconic photograph of Buzz Aldrin in a spacesuit on the moon's surface. The other shows a picture of the moon taken in 2010 by Gregory H. Revera. The picture was taken from Revera's home in Alabama and shows the landing site of the lunar module in the Sea of Tranquility. The site is labeled with a dot on the stamp.

Both stamps were designed by Antonio Alcalá.

A stamp dedication ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on July 19 at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
