Hundreds of students, friends and family members gathered in the Stony Point High School Stadium Monday to celebrate Coach Sean Kelley's life and mourn his death.

Kelly, a 43-year-old teacher and coach at the school, was struck and killed by a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Mays Street in downtown Round Rock Friday Dec. 2.

RRPD arrested Javier Morales-Ramirez.33. Monday for "failure to stop and render aid."

They said Morales-Ramirez was believed to have assaulted his girlfriend before driving his car downtown and hitting Kelley. Morales-Ramirez fled the scene at the time.

Monday though, the focus was just on Kelley and the legacy he leaves behind.

"To teach is to touch a life forever," Stony Point Principal Anthony Watson said. "I can see tonight that Sean touched each and every one of your lives."

The school's band and chorus performed as many of Kelley's former students shared their fondest memories.
