HUTTO, Texas — A Williamson County deputy who has been with the department for 10 years has been arrested after she allegedly hit her husband.

A restraining order filed on Dec. 3 by Dianna Marie Hernandez's husband states that this past weekend at their Hutto home, Hernandez accused her husband of being on his phone too much. Her husband said that when he told her she is "also on her phone a great deal of the time," her phone rang, and he said "something to the effect that's my point."

That's when he said Hernandez slammed her phone into his face.

He said when he looked in the mirror and noticed blood trickling down his face and he noticed his lip was starting to swell, he called 911. Hutto police officers arrived and arrested her, he said.

Online records with Williamson County show she was booked Dec. 2 on an assault charge.

Her husband stated that he has seen her "temper building for a long time" and "over the years, I have had to deal with a number of concerning situations with Dianna and her temper." This prompted him to file a restraining order, he said.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Hernandez is a deputy with the office and is currently on paid administrative leave.
