WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — A plan to take a wastewater line through a park in Williamson County has one more hurdle to clear before it can become a reality.
Georgetown is considering running a line through Berry Springs Park and Preserve near the intersection of Highway 130 and Interstate 35.
The proposal for the plan surfaced last year, but now will need approval from county commissioners. Some residents in the area have been fighting it, claiming it will impact the beauty of the park.

The city says the wastewater line is needed to deal with the development north of Berry Creek and in Jarrell.
The county commissioners will vote on the proposal after the public hearing Tuesday.
