Vigil for Maria Llamas one year from disappearance

The family remains without answers one year later.

A vigil will be held Monday night to remember 70-year-old Maria Jesus Llamas, exactly one year after she disappeared.

Llamas was last seen November 20, 2016 leaving the Poteet Flea Market.

Cameras showed Maria leaving the property. Her purse was found soon afterward in a creek a mile and a half away.

Llamas suffers from Alzheimer's disease and needs daily medications. Family members told KENS 5 shortly after the disappearance that Maria had never wandered off before for an extended period of time.

The family remains without answers one year later. That’s why they are coming together for a vigil Monday night.

It starts at 6:30 p.m. at Colt 45 Baseball at 11056 State Highway 16 in San Antonio.
