HAYS COUNTY — Two suspects have been arrested after they allegedly conspired to kill a victim at a residence in Hays County.

According to Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler, a victim was lured to a residence on Mount Sharp Road in Wimberley, Texas, on Nov. 30 at approximately 7 p.m.

The victim then reportedly met with suspects Nvaada Morgan, 20, and Steven Ertel, 19.


While at the residence, Morgan and Ertel were allegedly armed with knives and engaged with the victim in a way that led him to believe his life was in danger, Cutler said. The victim ran away from the scene and called 911.

Upon further investigation, officials determined that based on the evidence Morgan and Ertel conspired to kill the victim.

The two suspects were arrested for conspiracy to commit murder and are currently in custody at the Hays County Jail, officials said.
