Two dead after southeast Austin crash

AUSTIN, Texas — Two people are dead after a crash in southeast Austin on Tuesday night.

The crash happened at around 10 p.m. at 517 E. Slaughter Ln.

Police said driver Garrett Davis, 27, collided with a truck while attempting to turn left to enter an apartment complex. He failed to yield right of way, Austin Police Department said.

Davis and passenger Keaton Carnley, 27, both died in the crash. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

No charges are expected to be filed.
