Two bar patrons shot in East Austin robbery

Police are searching for three suspects after the incident.

AUSTIN, Texas — Police are searching for three suspects after a robbery in East Austin on Sunday morning in which two bar patrons were shot.

Police said three people entered Oscar’s Backyard bar at 6215 FM 969 around 5:30 a.m. and discharged firearms before demanding and taking money from bar patrons.

Two patrons shot in the incident were treated at a local hospital and later released, police said.

The first suspect is described as a black man in his mid-30s with light to medium complexion, approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 250 pounds, bald or wearing a black head covering and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a black windbreaker with a hood and white emblem on the chest, dark pants and dark-colored gloves with a red and white emblem.

The second suspect is described as a black man in his mid-30s with dark complexion, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, of heavyset build and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up and dark pants.

The third suspect is described as a black man in his mid-30s with dark complexion, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a charcoal gray hoodie with the hood pulled up and black pants.
