And if that isn't enough, the Austin pup has been a comforting presence at more than 100 funerals. What a rock star!

Here are a few photos of the 2-year-old pup at work.

"When a family interacts with Kermit while in the throes of grief, he ever so slightly lightens their emotional load, if only for a moment, bringing small comfort in the midst of chaos," his owner said.

The owner expressed her excitement about Kermit's milestone on his official Instagram page.

MILESTONE FOR KERMIT!🎉100 FUNERALS Kermit the Dog is Texas' 1st certified therapy dog in funeral care. 💙🐾 Together, we educate communities on all possible options for body disposition and end of life planning, volunteer across the US in times of crisis, and serve families in the central Texas area first hand when death has occurred. Kermit is present on body removals at times, for both people AND pets, caring for the staff at the nurses station while I work, or in the room with the family and the deceased upon request. On so many occassions, he has been a comforting presence when funeral arrangements are discussed, and as of THIS WEEK he as been on hand for over 100 funeral services. When a family interacts with Kermit while in the throes of grief, he ever so slightly lightens their emotional load, if only for a moment, bringing small comfort in the midst of chaos. I'm so proud of all we have accomplished together and all he enables me to do. He is only 2 years old... I cannot wait to see where our roads lead over the years to come. #100funerals #KermitTheDog #GriefTherapy #GriefTherapyKermit #deathpositivepup #deathpositive #homefuneral #funeraldirector #mortician #therapydogsofinstagram #atxdog #512dogs #bordercollie #milestone #Kermit #themodernmortician #dogsaroundaustin
