Man killed after being hit by train in Round Rock

The incident happened at approximately 5:55 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of E. Palm Valley Boulevard.

ROUND ROCK, Texas — A man was killed Sunday evening after being hit by a train in Round Rock, according to police. 

The Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) said it happened at approximately 5:55 p.m. in the 3200 block of E. Palm Valley Blvd. Police told KVUE the man was hit by a freight train. 

On Tuesday, the deceased was identified as 48-year-old Scott Williams.

There were no other reported injuries, according to RRPD. The circumstances behind why the man was near the tracks is still under investigation, RRPD said.
