TRAVIS COUNTY — Lake Travis remains more than 140 percent full as of Tuesday, evening but the lake is slowly receding.
People who live along Lake Travis are waiting for it to go down further and are worried about more rain moving in.
Bar K Park in Lago Vista remains closed because of high water.
"We're just grateful to be safe and get back in our house,” said Cheryl Smith, who lives in Lago Vista.
Tuesday was Smith’s first day back home.

"Our neighbors have been great," said Smith. "We've been able to stay in town with family and friends, and so that's the humanity that comes out when you're in a crisis.”
We interviewed Smith last week as she prepared for high water. She said the water reached its highest point Saturday.
She had about three feet of water inside. As of Tuesday evening, she still has no electricity or water.
KVUE also followed up with Sail and Ski Yacht Club General Manager Greg Buck. The club is located off of the water.
His office was still doing OK on Tuesday, because he was able to raise it up through pipes.
KVUE asked about damage to any of his property; he said there is damage to a small portable building.
"Mostly it's just cleanup,” Buck said.
He is worried about the forecasted rain, and so is Smith.
"I'm hoping it's not gonna be drastic,” she said.
She is not lowering her items that she raised high up just yet.
Law enforcement had to block off access to Bar K Park, not only because of the high water, but because so many people were driving up, taking pictures and creating a muddy mess near people's homes as residents are trying to clean up and get back to normal.
