AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police said several people were taken into custody Saturday afternoon after a police chase ended with a crash.

Officers said a short chase of a suspected stolen vehicle started before noon, and there were several people in that vehicle. As the vehicle was driving away from police, it sideswiped another car on the IH-35 Frontage Road near 6th street in downtown Austin. The car that was sideswiped ended up being pushed onto its side, but no one involved in the crash suffered any serious injuries.

Austin Police say several people from inside the suspected stolen vehicle tried to run, but officers apprehended all of them.
