Picture Perfect: Austin photography camp for kids happening this summer

They'll learn proper lighting, indoor and outdoor photography and get a chance to show off their work in a show at the end of the week.

AUSTIN, Texas — Do your kids love photography? Do they enjoy taking pictures with devices other than a cell phone? If so, there's a great summer camp opportunity right here in Austin.

Shutterbugs will host week-long camps focusing on photography for children ages 7-17 this summer. 

They'll learn proper lighting, indoor and outdoor photography and get a chance to show off their work in a show at the end of the week.

The camp will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day of the camp. Here's a look at the different dates the camp is offered:

  • June 3-7
  • June 10-14
  • June 17-21
  • June 24-28
  • July 1-5
  • July 8-12
  • July 15-19
  • July 22-26
  • July 29-Aug. 2
  • Aug. 5-9
  • Aug. 12-16

This will be the second year for summer photography camps at Shutterbugs. The cost of the five-day camp is $450 each. For more information about the photography camps, click here.
