Pflugerville to vote on paying higher taxes to make Austin Community College classes cheaper

Since Pflugerville Independent School District isn't within the Austin Community College district, it costs students more to take classes compared to in-district students.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Pflugerville voters will soon decide if they want to pay higher property taxes in order to make Austin Community College classes cheaper.

Since the Pflugerville Independent School District is not within the ACC district, students have to pay more to take classes at ACC. It costs students $361 per credit hour to take classes at ACC, but it only costs $85 per hour for in-district students.
