Person bitten by rattlesnake on River Place Trail

An adult has serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

AUSTIN, Texas — A person is seriously injured after getting bit by a rattlesnake at the River Place Nature Trail in northwest Austin on Friday night.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the 4900 block of River Place Blvd., Austin-Travis County EMS said.

An adult was airlifted from the trail to Dell Seton Medical Center via STAR Flight with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
