Pflugerville shooting narcotics-related

Police said after further investigation they concluded the victim was not struck by the bullet.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A incident in which shots were fired on Saturday was narcotics-related and the victim was not hit by the bullet, police now say.

A man suffered minor injuries in the incident on Saturday night in Pflugerville.

Pflugerville police reported they responded to the call around 8:45 p.m. on the 800 block of Cactus Bend Drive. There, the victim reported he had been shot by an unknown suspect who fled the scene.

The man was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

On Monday, after further investigation police said the victim was not hit by the bullet.

Pflugerville Police discovered narcotics on the scene and have said it was an isolated incident. The suspect and victim appear to be known to each other, they said.

The suspect has not been identified as the investigation is ongoing. Police have no reason to believe the public is in danger.
