AUSTIN, Texas — A man was hospitalized Friday evening after he was struck in an auto-pedestrian crash, Austin-Travis County EMS said.

EMS said it received the call about the crash at 9:05 p.m. Friday. Medics responded to the 800 block of Rutland Drive and performed CPR on the man while they took him to Dell Seton Medical Center, EMS said.

According to EMS officials, the man suffered critical life-threatening injuries.

Officials said to expect traffic delays and road closures in the area.
