Lockhart woman's strange connection to 'Stuck House'

The house that was stuck on a residential street in Austin for a week finally made it to its new home in Lockhart.

The house that was stuck on a residential street in Austin for a week finally made it to its new home in Lockhart.

'Stuck House' now sits about a block from Lockhart High School and Lion Stadium on Crocket Street. Movers placed tarps over the missing parts of the roof and walls to prevent damage in case of rain, but there is still a lot of work to be done to repair the home.

Lockhart resident Toma Clancy is in the process of moving to the Live Oak area, where the house was stuck.

"This house kind of messed up my move, it was blocking a street that was important to get to my street," Clancy said.

On Friday, Clancy came back to her Lockhart home to clean before she moves. While she was at her Lockhart house, she noticed a new neighbor across the street. 'Stuck House' and Clancy seem to be trading neighborhoods.

"I would love to go into that house and look around and see what it looks like," Clancy said.

'Stuck House' was located at 2117 Brackenridge in Austin. The house next door, 2115 Brackenridge, will be traveling to Lockhart in the coming weeks. Both owners of these plots of land said they are building new homes and donated the houses.
