A Lockhart man has been charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed his mother-in-law to death Saturday night.
The Lockhart Police Department said at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 10 they responded to a residence located off of Colorado Street near the Lockhart Municipal Burial Park following a report of a threat being made against a person by a family member.
Officials said when they arrived at the home, they found a woman, identified as Edna Juarez, 62, in a back bedroom with multiple stab wounds. Juarez was taken to Seton Kyle where she was later pronounced deceased.
Police arrested Ruperto Gonzalez, 52, in connection with Juarez's death. As of Tuesday, Feb. 13, he is in custody at the Caldwell County Jail.
