Lago Vista dental office vandalized six times in four months

At first, the owner thought it was just kids being kids. But now, she's not so sure.

LAGO VISTA, Texas — A visit to the dentist can be a daunting task for some, but the Lago Dental Center gives patients a reason to go: a stunning view of the Hill Country.

But recently, that view has been overshadowed by the dental office's street-facing side: broken windows and plywood.

In the past four months, vandals have targeted the dental office, which is off of Lohman Ford Drive and Park Strip in Lago Vista, at least six times.

"The first one was Oct. 26," Dr. Bonny Grigor told KVUE. "I just attributed it to kids, and I thought that was it."

But then it happened again, again and again, as recently as this past weekend, and Grigor still doesn't know who's doing it.

"I wish I knew. I just want it to end," the military veteran said.

Grigor, who has rented the space for six years, has spent thousands of dollars to replace the broken windows. She thinks the boarded-up plywood is affecting her business.

"As soon as patients come in, they realize how beautiful it is in here and how wonderful my staff is and how we love our patients," she said. "But it's getting them in the door, and that's blocking everything."

The liquor store next door was targeted this weekend as well, but it's unclear whether that was intentional or accidental.

One thing is clear: Grigor is watching and so is the Lago Vista Police Department.

"I would hope that whoever's doing this would understand if you're in pain, I will take care of you. But I just need you to stop," she said.

If you have any information that can help police find the vandals, give them a call at (512) 267-7141.
