AUSTIN – Frontier Airlines announced Wednesday that it will begin nonstop service between the Live Music Capital of the World and the home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The low-cost carrier and City of Austin said it will begin nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on April 9. The flights will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with flights departing Austin at 12:04 p.m. and arriving in Cleveland at 3:49 p.m. Return flights will leave at 4:39 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 6:49 p.m.

Frontier announced in July the addition of eight nonstop flights from ABIA. Flights between Austin and both New Orleans and Raleigh/Durham will begin Oct. 5, to Phoenix on Oct. 11 and to Ontario, Calif. on Oct. 12.

ABIA said the flights to Charlotte, Cincinnati and Columbus Ohio will start on April 8, 2018. Flights between Austin and San Jose, Calif. will begin April 9, the same day as the Austin-Cleveland service. Frontier’s website states it operates – or will operate in the near future – 17 flights from ABIA.
