Dan Patrick announces 'One Million Voices' campaign for 'bathroom bill'

At a press conference Monday morning, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the launch of the "One Million Voices" campaign in support of Texas' so-called "bathroom bill."

At a press conference Monday morning, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the launch of the "One Million Voices" campaign in support of Texas' so-called "bathroom bill."

Joined by Senate Bill 6 author Sen. Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) and North Carolina Lt. Gov. Dan Forest, Patrick laid out the "One Million Voices" campaign. He said the plan is to educate Christian pastors on the bill and urge them to talk to their parishioners.

The press conference was the first of three that are planned for Monday, according to The Texas Tribune. A press conference for protections for transgender Texans will take place at 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m., business leaders who are pushing back against the bill will hold a press conference at 1 p.m.
