BLANCO COUNTY, Texas — Fire crews are on the scene responding to a 460-acre wildfire in Blanco County.
The Texas A&M Forest Service said it is responding to a request for assistance to battle the fire, which is being called the Archer fire. As of this writing, the fire was 80% contained.
The fire is located near Ranch Road 962 and Smith West Ranch Road in Blanco County.
The Texas A&M Forest Service said the fire was burning in thick vegetation and very rough terrain. As of Sunday morning, crews were patrolling and engaged in mop-up operations.
