Cloudy skies with decreasing rain chances for the remainder of the day

Rain chances decreasing but still possible rest of Saturday afternoon and evening.

TEXAS — A front has pushed the area this Saturday morning causing some moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms. Because of that, surface temperatures have cooled down into the 60s and 70s across the area.

An isolated threat for shower activity continues for the next 12 hours in the wake of the cold front but nothing as nearly as heavy or threatening. Some low-lying areas may still be within a margin of threatening flooded roadways and low-water crossings.

Just in time for the Longhorns versus TCU game, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m, things should remain on the quiet side with a few spotty sprinkles here and there but seasonably cooler.

Rainfall amounts through Monday will range on average from a half inch up to an inch of rainfall but most areas will experience less than a half inch. A few lingering showers for early next week are still in the forecast before our next cold front that should be stronger and impactful to the Fall-like feels.
