AUSTIN — A Cavender's Boot City sign caught on fire on South Lamar Boulevard in Austin Monday afternoon.
According to the Austin Fire Department, the sign caught on fire as workers were trying to take it down and one of the workers used a blowtorch.
AFD said Cavender's was replacing the sign with a new one that can be seen in the dark.
According to AFD, Monday was a busy day for them because they had six structure fires going on in various parts of Austin within a few hours or minutes of each other.
A witness captured the Cavender's fire and shared it on Instagram.
