The Travis County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was found dead in a car in Del Valle on Saturday.
Authorities said Cesadio Rodriguez, 29, of Austin was found unresponsive in his car late Saturday morning. The sheriff’s office was called to Doctor Scott Road and Texas 71 shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday by someone who reported an unresponsive person in a vehicle.
Family and friends told the sheriff’s office Rodriguez had been living in his car for approximately one month and had health issues. A TCSO deputy performed a welfare check on two men in the vehicle around 1 p.m. Jan. 5, and the men reportedly indicated they were well and needed not assistance.
The cause or Rodriguez’s death is pending toxicology results, the sheriff’s office added. TCSO told KVUE on Saturday that there were no signs of foul play.
