ATX Police Oversight: New way to give feedback anonymously on Austin officers

Now you can give a review anonymously online at ATX Police Oversight. You can file a complaint or thank a specific officer.

AUSTIN, Texas — The City of Austin's police oversight office now has a new way for people to give feedback about their experiences with APD officers.

Now you can give a review anonymously online at ATX Police Oversight. You can file a complaint or thank a specific officer.

Of course, with anonymity comes the concern of false reports, but the oversight office does have a safeguard in place for that.

"When we get a complaint that comes in, we look into it. We look into bodycam video, police reports and we're going to do an assessment of it before we recommend that it be investigated," said Farah Muscadin, who is the director of the oversight office.
