A taste of fall-like temperatures could arrive next week

It could actually feel a little like fall in central Texas next week. The fall equinox is Saturday, Sept. 22 at 8:54 p.m. CDT.If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the beginning of fall, with daylight hours continuing to shorten until the winter solstice in December.

AUSTIN — It's been a long summer, to say the least, but forecast models are hinting that the first front of the season may arrive late next week.

As of right now, most models are trending for the front to push through sometime between Wednesday and Friday.

There is still a lot of uncertainty with exactly how "cool" this front will be, but we should be able to work out the details over the next several days.
